What information does DPT Consulting Services have to obtain from my health care provider to perform a charge audit?
We must obtain Itemized Billing Records, Claim Forms, and the charge sheets & notes for the date of service in question. We do ask that your health care provider NOT send us your diagnosis information in order to protect you personal privacy. We are only interested in ensuring that the charges on your account are documented appropriately in your health care providers' records.
Does DPT Consulting Services comply HIPAA guidelines?
We absolutely adhere to ALL of the guidelines set forth by HIPPA as well as any other Privacy legislation. Because of the experience that our consultants possess, they are more than familiar with such guidelines and legislation.
